Measurement Tips

Measure the centreline. For every bend in the route, measure along the centreline of the hose path โ€” not the inside or outside of the bend. Use string or wire to trace the route first.

Fitting insertion depth. Each fitting end requires the hose to be inserted a certain depth for proper sealing. These lengths are already included in this estimator's fitting allowances.

Order 10โ€“15% extra. Always add buffer for routing adjustments, assembly errors, and possible re-cuts. Hose is inexpensive relative to the cost of a second order or a leak.

Minimum bend radius. Ensure each segment allows for the minimum bend radius of your chosen hose. Tight bends that collapse the bore are not accounted for in straight-line segment lengths.
