Common questions
What is a chassis code?
A chassis code (also platform or generation code) is the manufacturer’s internal identifier for one generation of a model — for example BMW’s E90 is the 5th-generation 3 Series sedan. Malaysian ads, forums and part listings quote them constantly because parts vary between generations.
Why do chassis codes matter when buying parts?
The same model name can span several chassis generations with completely different parts. Ordering by chassis code (E90 vs F30) prevents wrong-fit parts — which is why Revoluzion’s parts catalog and marketplace listings reference them.
Which chassis codes are most common in Malaysia?
Locally the most quoted codes include the BMW E90/E92/F30, Mercedes W204/W205, Honda FD/FK, Toyota ZRE/NCP, and Proton/Perodua generation codes — all covered in this index.
